CURRENT POSITION

With over 20 years of legal expertise, Mr. Schraf serves as attorney to insurance carriers and their agents, as well as providing experienced counsel to business and individual clients, who have litigation and general legal needs.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Schraf provides clients with experienced counsel relating to professional liability litigation matters that pertain to insurance agents and brokers; insurance coverage issues; and, representation of the insureds of insurance carriers who are involved in general liability litigation. He is highly skilled in general litigation that concerns business matters, as well as individual clients in need of legal services, and bankruptcy and insolvency law with a focus on asset collection and representation of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 trustees.

An experienced litigation attorney, with expertise in general and insurance litigation, Mr. Schraf has successfully prosecuted and defended lawsuits in state and federal trial courts in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. He has, also, argued before the appellate courts at the state and federal level. Many of the appellate cases argued are the subject of published opinions.

Mr. Schraf provides Logan Russack clients with valuable expertise, producing favorable results in negotiation issues, formal dispute resolutions, and mediation hearings, often resolving a dispute that negates the necessity for lengthy and costly litigation. Mr. Schraf counsels clients to exercise prudence when examining their options, and to realistically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of their cases. He advises clients that it is sometimes more responsible and cost effective to settle the matter, than to further pursue legal proceedings. Likewise, depending on the circumstances of the situation, he may suggest that it would prove beneficial to litigate, or vigorously defend, a particular case.
